Model S2: The Tweed 5F6A Bassman $1375 *plus shipping
This circuit is mostly the original 5F6A '59 Tweed Bassman. I use Heyboer transformers built true to the original specs with paper bobbins and interleave windings. I use an unshakably strong glass fiber turret board that maintains point to point wiring. The board design is from Doug Hoffman Amplifiers. (Doug has a great web site for advanced kits, parts, and a builder's forum here). Caps are over-sized in the power supply, and I use shielded cable on all input jacks and pot circuits. All small components are premium quality, (Sprague caps ex.) and all resistors in the signal chain are carbon compound. Speakers are Weber Vintage series 10A125. I build the cabs myself, white pine with box joint corners, and a 1/2" thick Baltic Birch plywood baffle board. Tweed fabric can be finished light or aged amber.
